SITUATION

Interface Tourism Spain collaborated with Paco Nadal, one of the most renowned influencer bloggers and travel journalists in Spain and Latin America. He is also a photographer and documentary filmmaker with work published in the main Spanish online and offline media outlets including El Pais. He runs a weekly travel program in the leading radio station Cadena SER.

Paco took part of a press trip to Panama in November 2017 with the goal of promoting Panama as an adventure and nature paradise, two key drivers for Spanish travellers when choosing long haul destinations.

Action

An active online campaign by Paco Nadal through his social media channels: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, which are all highly followed by digital users in Spain, was conducted.

The production of 3 videos (2 minutes length each) focused on nature, adventure and Panama City´s Old Town showcasing the most spectacular landscapes of Panama.

A 10-minute feature on the radio show “La Ventana” was broadcasted weekly on Cadena SER (leading radio station in Spain).

Results.

The Facebook video about nature achieved a reach of 966808, 419.000 views, 15.000 shares and 7.600 interactions.

The Facebook video about the Old Town achieved 399.000 views, 15.000 shares and 8.900 interactions.

The YouTube video on adventure received 112.863 views and 443 comments.
