SITUATION

In 2017, Interface Tourism Spain organized for a new charter flight to fly directly from Madrid to Montego Bay on a regular basis. A similar charter flight was organized from Lisbon to Montego Bay. Interface tourism successfully created significant interest in the Spanish and Portuguese market for travel to Jamaica.

Action

A honeymoon newsletter sent to 18.000 couples.

The implementation of a travel agency affiliate program required the contacting of 2.500 travel agents with quizzes, sales boosters, e-learning and newsletters

A meeting was organised including a presentation of destination Jamaica to 160 travel bloggers.

A campaign with Jamaica coffee shops and Avoris with more than 30.000 customers participating in the prize draw for a trip to Jamaica was executed.

A joint campaign with Logitravel increased 170% of trips to Jamaica sold from 2016-2017.

A Jamaica road shows including a workshop was attended by 58 travel agents and tour operators

Joint campaigns with Avoris in Spain and Portugal sold 3.473 packages for the 2017 charter Madrid-Montego Bay

Press trips and media coverage involved over 50 Spanish journalists.

Jamaica Webinar 2018 had 603 travel agents subscribe.

Results

Press clipping generated by Interface Tourism between 2016-2018 was 1.666.751 Euro.

5 more tour operators are programming Jamaica since 2016 which is a 25% increase.

New twitter account has 608 followers and over 1500 more organic followers on Facebook.

Digital campaign received a reach of 1.565.746, 975.889 views , 3.692 reactions, 211 comments, 774 shares.

Spanish traveller arrivals increased by 126.7% and Portugese travellers by 683.5% in 2017.
